Hope you are enjoying your day! Doesn’t the warm sun sun feel GREAT? More of that to come for sure 🙂 Here are some of the things you need to be aware of for the next few days and weeks:
Be sure and turn your clocks ahead before retiring on Saturday evening. Time to SPRING AHEAD.
Sunday morning worship begins at 10:00 in our sanctuary. Pastor Kevin will be continuing his series, our choir will be in place and Kids Connection is ready for the little ones. A time of singing, prayers and praises are all part of our worship together. Coffee follows in Veno Hall. I just checked and no one is signed up to bring a snack or treat. If you are able to help out with this need, that would be appreciated.
New Mom’s Tea is Sunday afternoon at 1:00 in the Welcome Center. New Mom’s can come with our without their little ones!
The Church Council will meet on Monday evening at 7:00 in the Ruth Room across from the office. We have several new members of the Church Council – we look forward to seeing you!
Young Life is back in full swing and also meets on Monday evening at 7:27 on the top floor of the church.
Be sure and pick up Our Daily Bread Devotional from the Resource Tables. The large print edition begins in April. I have those in the office if anyone would like one now.
We have several things happening in the coming weeks that you will want to keep in mind.
Friday, March 18th at 7:30 is the final Singspiration of the year. I just receive the information with the special music for the evening and our very own United Quartet will be singing!
Also on the 19th at 1:00pm is our Mid-Winter Extravaganza – celebrating the end of winter and the beginning of the warmer days ahead! Please look for the bulletin insert on Sunday for all the details.
March 20th ( a week from Sunday!) is Palm Sunday. Please note that we will not be having a Maundy Thursday service this year but we will be having a Good Friday service at 7:00pmon March 25th. And of course, Easter Sunday is March 27th.
I neglected to mention that Easter plants are once again available for purchase for $12.00. All orders must be received by March 23rd. Look for an insert in your bulletin on Sunday or pick up an order form from a Resource Table. The plants will adorn our sanctuary on Easter Sunday. You are welcome to take your plant with you following the service that day.
I am not sure if anyone has responded but Pastor was looking for a willing volunteer to embellish the wooden cross that is used during Holy Season. Seasonably appropriate decorations might include flowers, butterflies, ribbons, etc. If you have some ideas and that is something you would be interested in, please speak to Pastor Kevin.
