Hello everyone, I am sure you are having a busy week! Be sure and take some time to slow down and think about the many things to be thankful for this year! It is easy to lose focus and think about what makes us unhappy but we are abundantly blessed regardless of our individual circumstances and it is good to consider that.
Sunday worship begins at 10:00 in our sanctuary. Great music from our choir, singing, prayer time and an encouraging message from Pastor Kevin. Kids Connection is in place for the younger ones. Coffee time follows in Veno Hall. As we approach this wonderful yet hectic time of year, please be sure and take time to come to worship and be with your church family. This will help you prepare for the Advent season in a meaningful way. The first Sunday of Advent is a week from Sunday, December 3rd.
The Church Council meets on Monday evening at 7:00 in the Council Room.
Young Life meets on Monday evening at 7:27 on the top floor.
Moms & Tots will meet on Thursday the 30th at Chick Fil A in Dedham for food and play at 11am.
The next and final session of the Young Adult Discussion Group will meet Sunday December 10th at 11:15 am
Christmas Fair is coming Dec 2rd: We have a special need of strong people after church Sunday to set up tables in the Welcome Center. Please see Barbara Sweeny after church – and THANK YOU. Remember to sign-up if you haven’t already. Remember we need help in setting up and cleaning up as well as during the Fair itself. I hope the bakers are busy, the basket fillers are bustling, and the cleaners are clearing out their excess belongings for the Treasures room! We can take books, household items, extra Christmas decorations and more – but no TVs, computers, microwaves or clothing please! You can bring your items down Sunday and leave them in the Welcome Center, or check with the church office during the week. Please be in touch with me if you have suggestions, ideas, or questions ~ Barbara Sweeny
Another successful year with Operation Christmas Child 🙂 Thank you to Russ & Donna for dropping off about 50 shoe boxes last Sunday and thanks to everyone who participated! Remember to pray for the children who will receive these boxes. There are bookmarks in the resource spaces as a reminder. Help yourself!
Have you missed seeing someone on Sunday morning? Either one of our home bound or seniors or someone else? Why not give them a call and let them know they are missed?
You should have received 3 different mailings from the church in the past week or so. Be sure and read those letters!
Thanks to those who indicated an interest in helping out with some type of service/program for the Sunrise Center. We will be in touch with Sunrise in the next week to firm things up a bit. We would welcome a few other people to help out. Again, this is a commitment of about 30-40 minutes a month.

Hello there! Thanks for your reply. This is the social media coordinator replying. Our normal office hours are typically Tuesday-Friday 10am-2pm, and make sure you’re using the official admin@unitedchurchofnorwood.org email. Sometimes we’ve had new emails land in the spam folder by mistake. On Christmas Eve we will hold our family worship at 10am, and our formal candlelight service at 10pm. More details in the coming weeks on this blog, as well as social media!
